Russian President Vladimir Putin’s meeting
with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan
On October 10, President of Russia Vladimir Putin met with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan following a special session of the 23rd World Energy Congress.
The bilateral talks took place behind closed doors. Russia’s delegation at the talks included Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov and Energy Minister Alexander Novak.
Following the meeting, and in the presence of presidents Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the energy ministers of the two countries signed an intergovernmental agreement on the Turkish Stream gas pipeline.
The presidents of Russia and Turkey also made statements for the press.
