Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov Meets with Turkey’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ayse Sezgin
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Titov, on May 27, in Moscow, held consultations with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Ayse Sezgin.
Both parties expressed satisfaction with the fast-evolving intensive dialogue between Russia and Turkey in the political, economic, commercial and humanitarian fields. They stated the importance of continuing to build partnerships within the framework of the Russian-Turkish Cooperation Council at Summit level and the Joint Strategic Planning Unit operating within its structure under the leadership of the Foreign Ministers of both countries.
A thorough exchange of views took place on the situation in the Balkans, with emphasis on conditions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kosovo settlement. The parties underlined the relevance of the efforts of Russia and Turkey aimed at further normalizing the situation and easing tensions in the region.
