Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Titov Holds Consultations at the Turkish Foreign Ministry
On November 9, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Vladimir Titov held consultations in Ankara with Turkish Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs Unal Cevikoz and Halit Cevik.
During the meeting the current state of, and prospects for the further development of Russian-Turkish relations in the political, economic, commercial and other fields were discussed and further steps to intensify bilateral ties and strengthen
their juridical base were outlined.
An exchange of views took place on pressing international and regional problems, including European security issues, and developments in Transcaucasia, the Balkans, primarily Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in the Cyprus settlement. The sides
reaffirmed the similarity of their positions in discussing questions of cooperation in the Black Sea region.
