Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov Meets with Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Davutoglu
Talks took place on July 2 between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Ahmed Davutoglu, who is in Moscow on a working visit.
In a partner-like trustful atmosphere, the sides examined a broad range of bilateral and international issues. They noted with satisfaction the ongoing and dynamic evolution of relations between Russia and Turkey in the political, economic,
cultural and tourism fields, expressing a mutual intention to step up the work to consolidate Russian-Turkish cooperation on a level of multifaceted partnership.
The similarity or identity of views on major regional and international problems was affirmed. An exchange of views took place on the state of affairs in particular regions: the Near and Middle East, the Black Sea Basin, and Transcaucasia. The
importance was underscored of further deepening Russian-Turkish cooperation in the interests of international security and stability.
