Current dynamics of Russian-Turkish relations

Consultations between Russian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrey Denisov and Turkish Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Ertugrul Apakan

On May 29, a consultation meeting between the Russian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrey Denisov, and the Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Turkey, Ertugrul Apakan, took place in Ankara under the Inter-MFA Consultations Program.

During the consultations, a frank exchange of views took place on the current state of and prospects for Russian-Turkish relations. Pressing regional and global issues also were discussed, including conditions in the Black Sea region, Transcaucasia and Central Asia, the situation in Iraq and around the Iranian nuclear program, and Middle East and Cyprus settlement.
