Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan
The heads of state warmly congratulated each other and the peoples of Russia and Turkey on the New Year.
During their conversation the parties exchanged views on the consistent development of Russian-Turkish relations over the past year, and praised the progress made in virtually all areas of cooperation. The parties also noted the great potential
for further strengthening their relations. They discussed plans for contacts at various levels, including the highest level.
The conversation took place at Turkish initiative.
