STATEMENT BY ALEXANDER YAKOVENKO, THE OFFICIAL SPOKESMAN OF RUSSIA'S MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
Regarding the Press Conference Organized by the "Representation of the Freedom and Democracy Congress of Kurdistan in Russia and the CIS"
A press conference took place in Moscow on December 19 organized by the "Representation of the Freedom and Democracy Congress of Kurdistan in Russia and the CIS." The holding of the press conference itself and the statements heard at it have nothing to do with our principled line on developing many-sided cooperation with the Republic of Turkey. What evokes particular rejection is the mention by those speaking to the press of the possibility of a "resumption of force-based actions to solve the Kurdish question." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalls in this connection the unequivocal condemnation by the Russian Federation of terrorism in any of its forms and manifestations, wherever and by whomsoever terrorist acts may be committed and irrespective of their motives.
The Ministry calls upon public organizations operating in the territory of our country to show greater responsibility in their statements on issues that concern the Russian Federation's relations with foreign states.
