Russian President Vladimir Putin's telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan
On April 14, 2018 President of Russia Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The presidents discussed the situation around Syria escalated by missile strikes carried out by the United States and its allies on the territory of this country. The President of the Russian Federation stressed that the actions carried out by this group of Western countries are in severe violation of the UN Charter and fundamental standards and principles of international law.
The Russian and Turkish sides proceed from the fact that, in light of recent events, cooperation aimed at the actual advancement of a political settlement in Syria must be ramped up.
