On February 19, 2018 Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The positive dynamic in Russia-Turkey cooperation was noted, and contacts to be held in the short term at different
levels were agreed.
During the discussion on the situation in Syria, the focus was on further strengthening
interaction in the Astana format. The presidents confirmed a readiness for close coordination of the efforts of Russia,
