Ambassador A.Erkhov pays a visit to Ataturk’s Mausoleum
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Turkey Aleksey V. Erkhov visited Ataturk’s Mausoleum, laid a wreath on the slab under which lie the remains of the Founding Father of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. He paid a silent tribute to the First President of Turkey.
After the wreath-laying ceremony Mr A.Erkhov signed the Book of Honorary Guests to the Mausoleum. He wrote: “Having presented my credentials to His Excellency President Recep Tayyip Erdogan I bow my head in ever-lasting memory of the Founding Father of the Republic of Turkey, a Great Fighter for the independence of his nation, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and his comrades-in-arms. I sincerely wish Turkey prosperity, welfare and peace!”
Upon completion of the official part of the program the Ambassador visited The Ataturk and War of Independence Museum. The representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey as well as the staff of the Russian Embassy and other representations took part in the ceremony.
